the Person Centered Approach by Carl Rogers.

My approach believes that people have ample resources in themselves for self-understanding and for changing their self-concept, basic attitudes and behavioral orientations.
These resources can emerge when they can be provided with a definable climate of facilitating psychological attitudes.
This
climate is generated by the Rogersian therapist through the use of empathy with
the aim of dissolving the alienation and awareness of one's emotions in the
client, positive and unconditional acceptance and congruence.
In
fact, the more deeply understood and accepted the individual feels, the more he
tends to drop the false "facades" with which he has faced life and the
more he moves in a positive direction of improvement.
